One night in August. 1894 Wood worth arose before daylight anti* without awakening anyone, left. He had threatened many time* to go to Alaska to seek his fortune, hop ng thus to better provide for his wife and twelve children Woodworth was 80 when he lef'. and Is 79, while his wife la 68 A m.i Joritv of his children are married and taking care of themselvea. as well as their mother. Two years ago he wrote that he had staked a claim that had proven rich and that his fortune was made.
