Her husband is one of the best known and most popular young men of Atlanta. PRETTY CASTLE'GIRL HOME FOR HOLIDAYS Teachers' Reception. Several hundred invitations have been issued for the reception to be given Friday between 1 and t5 o'clock P. m. at the Hotel Wlnecoff by the Atlanta Teachers' Association. The officers of the association w ill receive the guests, assisted by a number of prominent men and women. Special guests will lie the Mayor and City Council, the Board of Education and i he members of the association. The president of the association is Miss Kate Massey; vice president, Gilmer Biller; recording secretary, Miss Emma Wesley; treasurer. Mrs. An nie Wise, financial secretary, Miss Gertrude Corrigan. William Grant, the young son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Grant, who is at home from school for the holidays, save a dancing party Tuesday even ing, which was one of the happiest vents of the week. Forty members . f the school set were entertained at ’he Grant residence. \^here the rooms were decorated with Christmas wreaths, holly, mistletoe, poinsett ia hlosspms and all the holiday decora tions. An orchestra played delightfully, ,nd there was dancing in the ball- mom. the guests displaying much .-kill in their rendition of the hesita tion and one-step. Supper was served at 11 o’clock in the dining room from a beautifully decorated table, having for a center piece a large sil" r loving cup filled with pink roses and narcissi sur rounded by smaller silver baskets of the same flowers, with all decorative details in pink and white. Mrs. Grant and Miss Margaret Grant assisted in entertaining. Mr . Grant wearing white satITi combined with cream lace and Miss Grant w earing a dancing gown of pink satin. School folk still have a number of delightful parties planned for the re mainder of their stav at home. The informal bridge party at which Mrs. Valdemar Glide entertained Wednesday afternoon at her home at East Lake was a delightful compli ment to Miss Bessie Woodward, a bride-elect of January, and Mrs. Thomas Waller Palmer, of Miami. Fla . who was Miss Julia Meador, of Atlanta, before her recent marriage. Holiday decorations prevailed throughout the house, and the prizes included silk hose for top score and consolation, and embroidered hand kerchiefs for the two honor guests. Miss Katherine Ellis, who returned home Wednesday morning after at tending the house party given by Mr. and Mrs. John D. Little, will leave Saturday to visit her aunt, Mrs. Shir ley Carter, in Baltimore. Miss Ella Heard, of Auburn. Ala., is the guest of her sister, Mrs. J Fletcher Heard, on West Peachtree.
