We are establishing a Leadership in Ready-to-Wear Garments through our most careful and timely
buying. Many new ideas have been developéd in Suit and Dress styles for the Spring Season: some of
them practical and likely to be well favored: others too extreme to find many friends; but our buyer has
well guarded his purchases so as to assure you only the most cleverly employed ideas. We guarantee every
Garment which leaves our store—no “ifs” or “buts” about them, we stand squarely on style, materials and
fitting—Prices always the lowest consistent with high-class materials and styles.
You will be impressed
with the wonderful vari
ety here, not only of the
Styles themselves, but of
the Materials and Colors.
The salient features of the spring
styles may be said to be their youth
ful lines, their attractive materials,
springlike shades, and employment of
vivid color trimmings. Suit Jackets
are all short, some of them very short
indeed. Eton and bolero effects are
in special favor, though a variation of
the bolero i; frequently effected by
the addition of a flaring flounce
or ruffle around the botom of the
jacket. Practically all have cut
away fronts, and the majority are
fastened with a single ornament or
large button. While there is a unity
of opinion about the matter of suit
coat lgngths, there is a greal style
diversity brought about by the nov
elty of the fabrics, the individuality
of the {(rimming touches and the
clever combination of attractive col
ors. We could go on and write of the
styles for pages, they are so inter
esting, but know you all have yvour
pattern magazines and dress books 1o
refer to. All last fall we held your
undivided attention and your trade
and expect to do the same this spring.
Our efforts will be unbending and
therough to accomplish it.

Dresses and Costumes
Dresses for every woman, not only the
tall, but the medium and short. It is true
designers this season have taken into con
sideration every type of figure—the pan
niers, bustle effects, tunies, and draperies,
which are suitable for the slender figure,
|are shown in a great diversity of designs.
F'or the woman who is not slender there are
innumerable dresses giving slender lines to
the hips with draperies sufficiently low and
of a character to add to the attractive
lines. The skirts are exceptionally beauti
tul, the materials employed are of the soft
est and most pliable texture, and assist in
no small degree in carrying out the grace
ful lines. The slashings this Spring are
of the most conservative style. In front or
in direct back—lots of pleatings of course.
'Many pretty ideas in flat collars, either in
rounded or in a modified sailor design of
net, lace or embroidery“designs abound for
the waists. For the street the full length
is shown, while for more dressy wear the
three-quarter sleeve is preferred. Sashes
and girdles galore, the Argentine girdle
being very prominent. Every material,
fo .
moire, poplin, taffeta and some crepe
are the silks in these dresses most
approved, with moire and poplin in
strong leadership. Prices for these Silk
