SPECIAL NOTICE
DIMMOCK—Mrs. Ann Frances Dim
mock was born in 1853, at Cave
Springs, Ga. Her grandfather was the
well-known Colonel Carter Sparks, and
her father, Colonel A. J. King, was a
distinguished member of the Georgla
Legislature. She was married twice,
her first husband being Judge Francis
Kirby and her second W. R. Dimmock,
who for many years was secretary of
the Atlanta Water Works. Mr. and
Mrs. Dimmock were valuable members
of Grace Methodist Church, and greatly
aided in its upbuilding as one of the
chief congregations in Atlanta. Grace
ful in person, sociable in disposition,
sympathetic in temperament, helpful in
conduct, Mrs. Dimmock filled her oppor
tunity and served her generation most
usefully, adding to the happiness of her
friends and ministering to those in need.
She was devoted to her church in its
various activities, loved. the house of
God and enjoyed the services of the
sanctuary.
Her final illness came on a visit to
her only daughter, Mrs. H. B. William
son, Houston, Texas. All that skillful
treatment and loving hands could do,
ministered to her in the last days. and
she passed to her reward May 25, 1914,
thanking God for His salvation through
C'hrist, and grateful to children and
friends for their tender sympathy and
love. Her bedy was brought to Atlanta
for interment and the numerous floral
offerings attested the sincere love that
she had awakened in many hearts. Be
sides her daughter, Mrs. Willlamson,
one son survives, Mr. Avary Miller Dim
mock, a student at the University of
Georgia. CHAS. O. JONES.
