nual Exhibition.
Lord Gray and Lady Gray, of Kentucky, whose marriage an
nulment was quicker than even her elopement.
*1,500 BOYS TO SHOW CORN
Twenty-one Counties Have Of
ficial Displays This Year,
Doubling Last Year.
MACON, Oct. 31.—Governor Slaton
and the members of his staff will be
’the honored guests at the Georgia
tState Fair here next month on Geor
gia Products Day, November 13. The
governor’s acceptance was received
toy the secretary of the fair associa
tion to-day.
The Macon companies of the State
imilitia will serve as military escort
for the Governor and his party. Gov
ernor and Mrs. Slaton were at the
fair last year and Mrs. Slaton won
eeveral of the prizes that were of
fered. A special committee has been
charged with the arrangements for
the entertainment of the Governor’s
party.
Fair Opens Tuesday.
The fair will open November 3. The
management gives the assurance that
all exhibits will be in place at that
jtime. Carload after carload of exhib
its already have arrived and are being
Spilt in place. Nearly a solid trainload
k>f agricultural exhibits arrived yes
terday. The Anal shipments will come
In Monday. 1
Twenty-one counties will have offi
cial exhibits this year, more than
twice the number of last year’s fair.
■Several of the county exhibits are
completely installed. All are new, the
(rules of the fair forbidding that any
of last year's products be entered In
competition.
The corn exhibit of the Boys’ Corn
Clubs will bs one of the most inter
esting features of the fair. Because
of the imperative necessity of turning
from the planting of coHon next year,
the work of the boys’ clubs is receiv
ing a large amount of attention from
the farmers, and th-e results of their
summer’s labors will be watched with
the greatest interest.
1.500 Boys Exhibit.
The fair management expects that
close to 1,500 Georgia boys will exhibit
com this year. Last year there were
more than 800, and the competition
this year will be much keener.
J. K. Giles, of the State College of
Agriculture, in charge of the Corn
Club work, has attended some of the
smaller fairs and is authority for the
statement that the exhibits this year
£urp&*a those of other years by acon-
fclderable margin.
MARRIED, BACK IN SCHOOL.
AURORA, ILL.. Oct. 31.—Stanley Hall,
a seventeen-year-old freshman In the i
Morris High School, who eloped and
was married, has returned to the school- I
room with his bride, Bertha Hoge, fifteen j
years old.

Tie’s Going to Marry Another Girl,” She Says,
After Being Granted Annulment.
Faces as Fair as
A Summer’s Day
Are Possible If Stuart’s Calcium
Wafers Are Used for a Short
Time After Each Meal.
Many people have been heard to
eay that they used creams and lotions
for years without effect, yet after five
or six days of Stuart’s Calcium
"Wafers their complexions were per
fectly clear.
“I Got Rid of Blackheads in a Jiffy by
Using Stuart’s Calcium Wafers.’’
It’s easy to understand why creams
and lotions only get at the surface,
while Stuart’s Calicum Wafers go
right into the blood, and instead of
a sluggish deposit in the skin the im
purities that cause skin diseases are
destroyed In the perspiration that is
exhaled through the pores in the form
of invisible vapor. You’ll never have
a good complexion without pure
blood, but you positively will have a
fine, beautiful complexion if you use
Stuart’s Calcium Wafers.
They contain no poisonous drug of
any kind, are perfectly harmless and
can be taken with absolute freedom,
and they work almost like magic. Cal
cium Sulphide, their principal ingre
dient, is the greatest blood-cleanser
known to science.
No matter how bad your skin may
be. Stuart’s Calcium Wafers will
quickly work wonders with it. It’s
good-bye to blackheads, pimples, acne,
boils, rash, eczema and a dirty “filled- j
up’’ complexion. You can get a box of !
Stuart’s Calcium Wafers at any drug '
store at 50 cents a box, and you will j
be positively delighted with their.
wonderful effect. A small sample :
package mailed free by addressing

NEW YORK, Oct. 31.—Dainty Lady
Gray, of Kentucky, scarcely 17 years
of age, tripped into the Supreme
Court yesterday and in ten minutes
came out again—minus a husband—
on the arm of her mother, and
whirled home in a taxicab. Lord
Douglas Moore Gray, who eloped with
the girl last April, did not appear at
the trial.
Lord Gray, who Is 23, came to New
York to be engineer for an expedition
to the Far North, to be conducted by
the Department of Terrestrial Mag
netism of the Carnegie Institute. He
is a graduate of Eton and Oriole Col
lege, Oxford.
At a charity ball in the Hotel As-
tor, April 3 last, he met Miss Annabel
Henderson, daughter of Mr and Mrs.
Charles Henderson. They tangoed
together, and within three weeks they
went to the Marble Collegiate Church
and were married.
Mrs. Henderson and her husband, a
broker, arrived just too late to stop
the wedding. They forgave the young
couple.
About four months ago the bride
decided that she and the lord were
uncongenial, and proceedings were
begun by which the marriage was
annulled cn the ground that Lady
Gray was under the age of legal con
sent at the time of the wedding.
There was nothing left for the court
to do except grant the annullment.
As Lady Gray left the courthou.se
she was asked about the husband she
had just discarded.
“Oh he’s going to marry that girl
up in the Remington Hotel.”
Alabama Bankers to
Plan Aid for Cotton
MONTGOMERY, Oct. 31.—Main
taining that the banks of Alabama
can do more than any other agent io
relieve the cotton situation as it ex
ists in the State to-day, ,Alex E.
Walker, Superintendent of Banks, has
issued a call to all national and State
banks in Alabama to send representa
tives to Montgomery for a meeting on
Tuesday. November 17. for the pur
pose of adopting, bf concerted plan of
action, resolutions looking to an im
provement in the present situation.
The call for a meeting was decidsd
upon following receipt of favorable
responses to a letter sent out October
24, in which Mr. Walker requested an
opinion from bankers relative to a
State meeting in Montgomery.
Wants Parcel Post
To Include Stork
WASHINGTON, Oct. 31.—Postmaster j
Praeger may soon suggest to the Post
master General the extension of the
parcel post to include babies, in order
that the duties of the stork may be
lessened. The suggestion was prompted
by the following letter received by the
postmaster;
"Marlon, Ind., Oct. 20.
"Dear Postmaster,
"Washington, D. C.
"I am eleven years old am so lone- )
some for a baby. I wish you would I
send the stork to my home. I would
like to have a little girl sister. I will
take care of her the best of my ability.” I
