sashes and keep them close till 1 see
signe of sprouting, and then air Is
given on all sunny days. Where there
are no sashes you can make A hotbed
in & slight excavation, using about a
foot of fresh marure well tramped

put a thermometer in the bed and
watch the heat rise, and when it be
