All ia not calm on the voting sur
face, and it ia no wonder that a ripple
stirs in every nook and corner, for
anxiety and anticipation reign su
premo.
Anxiety on the part of the candi
dates. anticipation on the part of their
friends. All realize that two hours
'before midnight Wednesday. April 14,
marks the close of the 50,000 bonus
vote period.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and
the best offer of the entire campaign
will be over. These three days afford
all workers the best chance to increase
their vote standing.
The grand double prize—the home
and the automobile—as well as the
five other automobiles, are to be
awarded to the six Candidates finish
ing with the largest number of votes
to their credit.
So you see it takes votes to win.
Never again will subscriptions count
as much in votes as during these three
days.
In order to be fair to all candidates,
subscriptions mailed to the offl.ee be
fore the closing hour of the offer will
count on the offer if the envelope
bears the postmark of 10 p. m. or ear
lier of April 14.
With many of the popular prize as
pirants soaring beyond the 60,000 mark
in the voting list, it behooves every
worker to do his or her best up to the
last minute of the extra vote offer.
It will be an easy matter to win a
diamond ring, or one of the other
prizes, if you work along as you have
been doing, but why not aim higher?
Set one of the grand prizes as your
mark, then go about- it in a business
like manner by getting in a total of
$18 worth of subscriptions by 10
o’clock Wednesday night.
The subscriptions will bring you the
regular number of votes in addition to
the 50,000 extra votes. Of course, you
know you are not limited to one “Spe
cial Ballot.” If it easy to obtain $18
worth of subscriptions, try to earn
two “Special Ballots,” and so on.
The “Special Ballots” candidates are
entitled to will not be made out until
after the offer is over, and, therefore,
will not appear in the published stand
ings until after Wednesday. The pub
lished standings In to-day’s issue are
