Minstrel Shooting
Made Too Realistic
WAYCROSS, April 12.—A shooting
scene in an amateur minstrel show
given at St. Marys was made realistic
when a loaded instead of a blank
cartridge was used by mistake. Na
than Reddick used the pistol and was
supposed to shoot Oliver Campbell.
He did.
The bullet lodged In Campbell’s hip,

Texas planting is about one month
late, writes the traveling representa
tive of a New York spot house. He
adds, however, that with favorable con
ditions from now on the crop will be
reasonably early. He still expects a re
duction In acreage of between 15 and 30

Advices from Montgomery, Ala., said
that with the change in the weather for
the better, sentiment is bearish. While
planting preparations seem well ad

the soil is in very poor condition, es
pecially when the tremendous shortage
of fertilizer is considered.
