cations are that the weather will be
generally fair to-night and Tuesday in
the States of the Mississippi River.

New England States, and to-night in
the lower Lake region, the Ohio valley
and Tennessee.
There will be frost to-night in the
Ohio Valley and freezing temperatures
in the region of tho Great Lakes.

Oklahoma City; “Wheat acreage ia
large In Oklahoma this year and pres
ent condition absolutely perfect. Oats
are coming up and corn planting I* w'ell
under way. The wheat crop of Kansas
and Oklahoma is starting under very
favorable conditions. Weather warm,
heavy rain to-day.”
A dispatch dated Grand Forks, V.
Dak., from T. W. Lewis, of Minneapolis,
says: “Spring work is progressing in
this vicinity. Several farmers were In
the fields yesterday. With favorable
weather they all will be at work this
week. Ground In good condition for
starting work, but rain will be wanted
soon.”

King & Co. says that the Ohio, crop re
port for April makes the condition of
wheat 88. against 97 last December, 95
last April and 102 last Ju]p. Th© re
serves on the farms are 12 per cent of
the crop, against 14 per cent a year
ago. The condition of rye is 91, against
96 a yqar ago. The condition of corn
in the crib Is 96, against 93 last year.
The report says that the wheat crop
promises to be about the same as that
of 1914. There was some damage in
March from' freezing and thawing.

ing up In good shape. Heavy rain from
Oklahoma City here. Water standing
In all low spots. Here thla country has
sufficient moisture now to keep the crop
growing for a long time.’’
