morning at her home. Progressive rogk
was played, the prize being won by
Mrs. Percy Rossee. Miss Stubbs was

Thursday afternoon to the Bohemians
In honor of Mrs. John Derr, of Atlanta.

HE Daughters of the American
T Revolution have been organizing
their work for the fall, each loecal
chapter having had a meeting. The
Piedmont Continental Chapter met at
Hotel Ansley, with Mrs. Richara P,
Brooks, regent, presiding.
The Atlanta Chapter, with Mrs J. M.
High, met at Craigie House, with some
interesting plans to be carried out dur
ing the year. Mrs. A. P, Coles, regent
of the Joseph Habersham Chapter, pre
sided at the meeting of her chapter,
which met at Hotel Ansley. The offi
clal meeting day 1s the 15th of each
month.
The meetings of the three chapters
were well attended, although many
prominent Daughters of the American
Revolution are absent from the eity, still
the Daughters of the American Revolu
tion have contributed largely to the so
clal life of Atlanta and some brilliant
entertalnments have been given by
them. |
This year promlses other entertain
ment by the chapters, and at an early
date the Joseph Habersham Chapter will
begin bullding its beautiful chapter
house out Peachtree road. The State
convention of D. A. R. will be held at
Columbus in the spring, and plans are
already being made for the programs
at that time. At that time a State re
gent will be elected and several promi
nent women are already spoken of as
slated for that office. Mrs. Frank
‘P‘lnmmlng. of Augusta, is one of the
strongest possibilities If she will consent
to allow her name put up. Personally
Mrs. Flemming I= brilllant, beautiful,
and holds an unblemished family record,
Many D. A. R.'s are in favor of giving
the office to Mre. Flemming and give
Augusta the regency. Mrs. Howard Me-
Call has been indorsed by a number of
chapters and other well-known women
have been favorably named for the of
fice. The retiring State regent, Mrs,
Susie Derry Parker, of Macon, has held
office two years and *has been one of
the most popular and efficlent officers
in the organization.
