The student recitals begin January
27 and will be held every two weeks
for the rest of the session.
A new organization known as the
Tnharmonic Music ('lub has been or
ganized in the college. The officers
are: President, Miss Dinnie Davis;
vice president, Miss Agnes Acree;
sercetary, Miss Leila Summerall;
treasurer, Miss Mary BE. Whatley;
program committee, Miss Marguerite
‘Robinson; chairman, Miss Marguerite
Cooper, and Miss Gertrude Malone.
There are about 40 members, com
posed of the advanced pupils in
voice, ptano and violin. The objects
of the club are to learn to appreciate
the best in music, and to study the
musicians, the composers and thelir
works. The club is the revival of an
old organization in the college. At
the meeting on Friday afternoon Pro
fessor Thickstun and Miss Wheeler
gave talks on musical subjects.
