Mr. and Mrs, Fraser gathered 100
young people for dancing at ¥ o'clock
Friday evening at their home, on Ju
niper street,
Punch was served on the porch by
Miss Katherine Hook, who wore a
gown bf pink tulle over white satin.
The porch was Inclosed with canvas,
and this was hung with smilax and
roses, The punch bow! was imbed
bed in smilax and roses, and the lights
everywhere were shaded with sllk
shades In rose tone,
A buffet supper was served at 12
o'clock, and dancing continued until 2.
Mrs. Fraser received her guests
wearing .\ gown of black tulle em
broldered In sequins, with a corsage
bouquet of pink roses. Miss Fraser
wore ciel biue taffeta, brocaded in
silver flowers. The bouffant draper
les of the silk allowed a margin of
the petticoat of silver lace to show for
fuliy three ‘nohon, and the bodice was
fashioned of the silver lace, She wore
a corsage of orchids.

‘quln gown trimmed In frills of tulle
end sllver shoulder straps, and her
-llgpen were sliver.

black tulle over white satin. Mrs.
Westervelt Terhune was gowned in
white satin with a drapery of tulle
edged with satin and finished with
seed pearls.
Miss Anne Kilby, of Alabama, who
is visiting Miss Loulse Broyles, wore
an attractive costume of rose chiffon,
combined with white in striped effect,
with the hoop u.‘peartnt over the hips.
A c'relet of Dresden flowers was worn
about her temples.
Mliss Laura Emory, of Baltimore,
the guest of Mrs, Terhune, was gown
ed in black tulle and Chantilly lace,
trimmed in cut jet,
Miss helen Barnes, of Maton, who
is the guest of Mrs, John Marshall
Slaton, wore turquoise blue taffeta,
trimmed in silver lace, with silver
slippers and a gorsage of yellow rose
buds,
Miss Loufse Broyles wore pale pink
tulle, embroidered in {ridescent beads.
Miss Agnes Gray wore copper-colored
taffeta, with the tight bodice finished
in tulle. Miss Dorothy Arkwright was
gowned in white tulle over white
satin, with inserts of silver cloth in
the skirt and a girdle of silver. Miss
Patty McGehee, who will be a debu
tante next winter, wore a gown of
pink tulle over pink satin, teimmed
with silver lace, and she wore silver
slippers.

ESIDES the club affairs this
wintey, a number of very
handsome functions have had
for their setting the Georgian Ter
race, which is located centrally for
soeial entertaining, The dinner-dance
given in December at this hotel was
Ia brilllant occasion and following
closely was the Black and White ball,
given for the Belglan Relief Fund.
' Last week the Debutantes’ Club
‘gave a large card party on the mez
zine floor when three hundred wo
men were seated about the balcony
overlooking the lobby and their con
tributions were given to the Girls’
Settle&e_m Home, which is being
financed by the Debutantes' Club.
Handsome prizes were donated and
were won by Miss Helen Rhorer,
Miss Theodosia Willingham and Mrs.
‘Haynes McFadden. The thirty girls
who form the club were hostesses of
the occasion and in their dainty af-'
ternoon frocks they made a success
ful social function of the affair.
