Mr. and Mrs. Fraser gathered 100
young peopie for dancing at # e'clock
Friday evening at their home, on Ju-I
niper street.
~ Punch was served on the porch by
Miss Katherine Hook, who wore a
gown of pink tulle over white satin.
The porch was inclosed with canvas,
and this was hung with smilax and
roses. The punch bow! was imbed
‘bed in smlax and roses, and the lights
everywhere were shaded with silk
‘shades In rose tone. |
A buffet supper was served at 12
o'clock, and dancing continved until 2,
Mrs. Fraser received her guests
wearing a gown of black tulle em
broidered in sequins, with a corsage
bouquet of pink roses. Miss Fraser
wore clel biue taffeta, brocaded in
silver flowers. The bouffant draper
les of the silk allowed a margin of
the petticoat of silver lace to show for
fully three inches, and the bodice was
fashioned of the silver lace. She wore
4 corsage of orchids.
Mrs. W. 8 Elkin wore a black se
‘qnln gown trimmed in frills of.tulle
end sliver shoulder straps, and her
silppers were sliver,
Mrs. Robert Alston was gowned in
black tulle over white satin. Mrs.
Westervelt Terhune was wned in
white satin with a dnpox of tulle
edged with satin and finished with
seed pearis.
Miss Anne Kilby, of Alabama, who
Is visiting Mise Louise Broyles, wore
an attractive costume of rose chiffon,
combined with white in striped effect,
' with the hoop -pénurln; over the hips.
A circlet of Dresden flowers was worn
about her temples.
Miss Laura Emory, of Baltimore,
the guest of Mrs, Terhune, was gown
ed in black tulle and Chantilly lace,
trimmed In cut jet.
Miss Helen Barnes, of Macon, who
is the guest of Mrs. John Marshall
Slaton, wore turquoige blue taffeta,
trimmed in silver lace, with silver

ESIDES the ciub affairs this
winter, a number of very
handsome functions have had
for their setting the Georgtan Ter
race, which is located centrally for
social entertaining. The dinner-dance
given in December at this hotel was
a brilliant occasion and following
closely was the Bldck and White ball,
given for the Belgian Relief Fund.
Last week the Debutantes’ Club
gave a large card party on the mez
zine floor when three hundred wo
men were seated about the balcony
overlooking the lobby and their con
|tribuuona were given to the GQirls’
Settlement Home, which is being
financed by the Debutantes' Club.
Handsome prizes were donated and
were won by Miss Helen Rhorer,
