The law of Georgia declares a finder
of lost goods who, having means of
knowing the rldghttul owner, retains
them for the finder's own use or advan
tage, may upon conviction thereof be
punished for simple larceny. A person
who finds lost goods is legally llable to
the rlihtful owner for their proper care
while in the finder’'s possessiocn, and he
is legally entitled to be relmbursed for
txpenses incurred in properly caring for
he goods found, and may retain ‘hem
until such expenses are pa!'d.
