Fulton Grand Jury Returns True
Bills Friday After Hearing
From Two Witnesses.
Eight joint indictments charging
larceny after trust were returned

Jury against Victor E. Innes and his
wife. Mrs. Ida Mea Innes, in connec
tion with the disappearance of Eloise
Nelms Dennis and her sister,
Beatrice Nelms,
It is on these Indictments that the
Inneses will now be tried in Atlanta.
The three under which they were
brought to Atlanta from San An
tonio charged practically the same
transactions. but the new ones are
more in detail. Two of the new bills
contain six counts each and the re
maining six have five counts each.
They charge the Inneses: with lar
‘weny of 3339790 from Mrs. Dennis.
The only witnesses before the
Grand Jury in the investigation were
Marshall Nelms, brotherof the miss
ing women, and L. P. Weathers, real

she had with Innes. Solicitor Dorsey
conducted the investigation.
The money for which the Inneses
are held responsible is aliaged to
have been given by Mre. Dennis to
Innes for ilnvestments in real estate
in Salt Lake Utah, Fergus County,
Montana, and in the State of Sonors,
Mexico
The largest amount mentionsd In
the indictments is §I.BOO, of which it
18 charged that Mrs. Dennis gave
$l.lOO to Mrs. Innes in person while
the defendant was on a visit to At.

The indictments cover - a period |
from June, 1913, to May, 1914.
Several representatives of telegraph
companies at Atlanta were present
and ready to testify, but were not
called before the Grand Jury. It is
set out in the indictments that, with
the exception of SI,OOO alleged to have
been handed to Mrs. Innes. the moeney
was sent by telegraph and express.
Finance Committee
Again Summoned
A special meetm% of the Council Fi-‘
nance Committee has been called for
Saturday morning in an effort to re
concile the differences between Mayor
Woodward and the Council members on
the settlement of the crematory case.
The meeting was called at the re
quest of Councilmen Edwin F. Johnson
and A. W. Farlinger.
