t'nmlln’l’rubytninuu st season,
and they'!l take it for granted that
the same thing is going to happen
next year
But you can't find that same spirit
out at Tech Flats, where they really
know, from reports brought In from
such eagle-eyed scouts as Coach
Alexander. They'll tell you there that
Tech 18 in for a regular game, and
they'll tell you the truth.
- - .
N()\\’. this isn’t any bear story. Tech
is going to win, and Tech is going
to win by a ecomfortable margin.
There's no doubt about that, But the
Jackets will have to fight for every
point they make, and they'll have to
fight, and figi’t hard, to keep David
son from making points—and a re
spectable number of points, at that,
Davideon has had a fine football
record this season. The Tay Hell Pre
destinarians etarted out with a rush
by holding Virginia to a couple of
touchdowns, when the F. F. V.'s ex
pected to run up a score in their
initial combat. Then Davidson came
right back the next Saturday and
showed that this strong game was far
from a fluke by beating the tar lights
cut of the Tarheel Aggles,
Now, the A. and M. of North Caro
lina isn't any slouch of a football
college. Last year they had such
proud achlevements to boast of as a
14-12 victory over the Navy and the
distinction of running up a pair of
teuchdowns on that great Washing
ton and Lee team,
This year the prospects at A. and
M. were ven brighter. Most of the
old men returned, and. there were
promising recruits, and’still Davidson
trimmed this team by ‘a 17-0 count,
it I remember correctly.
i So If Tech beats this team, and
beats it decisively, Atlanta will know
that Helsman has a football team out
at the Flats, the which Atlanta has
known to all intents and purposes
since the first waoz( n.f September.

THB good games don’'t stop there,
either. The clash between Clem
son and Tennessee ought foo be &
humdinger, as Tennessee las gone
back & bit this year, according to
reports, and Clemson has a hard
fighting, if a green team. Loulsiana
State should more than have its hands

Chattanooga will win a whole lot
of renown and demand serlous con

measure of Mississippi A. and M., and
Alabama should have far from its
usual tea party with Mississippi Col- |
lege. This little institution caused a
distinet shock last Saturday by com
ing in an easy victor over the Uni

Joosa team is likely to strike the
game rock that Ole Miss encountered.

Boys on the Border Relieved
Their Pains and Aches With
« Sloan’s Liniment.
Once upon a time Norman Jones,
serving in the National Guard, at
El Paso, returned to camp after a
strenuous 15-mile hike foot-sore and
leg-weary. He had not been long in
active service and his shoulders, back
and limbs felt the after-effects of
marching.
Remembering Sloan's Liniment,
Jones applied it to the sore spots and
went to bed. He writes: “I arose
the next morning feeling fine; in fact
I had entirely forgotten about the
hike and went out for a four-hour
drill in the sun as spry as ever.”
Private Jones passed the experi
| ence along, and many a boy on the
| horder relieved the agony of sprains§

muscles, rheumatic twinges, etc, by
the use of Sloan’s Liniment
