bama Business College. The marriage
was solemnized at the home of the
bride’s parents on Vineville avenue. Dr.
C. H. Lee, rector of St. Paul's Eplsco
gal Church, offictated. Judge Emory
peer gave his daughter in marriage,
while W. T. Anderson, editor of The
Macon Telegraph and a brother of the
bridegroom, acted as | Mr. Anderson’s
best man, Mrs. Bure had as her at
tendants Mrs. Myrick Hilsman, matron
of henor; Miss Fleanor Speer Burr, mald
of honor; Miss Fugenia Anderson,
bridesmaid; little Miss Fugenia Signor,

was witnessed only by the immediate

The organization of a branch of the
Woman’s National War Work Council
has been perfected in Macon. They will
have charge of the establishment at
Camp Wheeler of a hostess house. The
Macon Chapter was organized with a
membership of forty and the following
officers were elected: Mrs. Charles S.
Harrold, chairman; Mrs. Robert F. Gib
son, vice chairman, and Mrs. J. C. An
derson, secretary.
Much Interest was centered in the
marriage of Miss Carolyn Cater, of
Perry, to Lieutenant Baxter Jones, of
Can‘lg Gordon, which took place at Per
ry ednesday afternoon. Several Ma
con soclety folk attended. Dr. C. R.
Jenkins, president of Wesleyan College,
officiated. The young couple left for
Florida on their honeymoon and on
