By G. K. RUTLEDGE,
CAMP GORDON, Feb. 16.—Four of
a serles of 50 dugouts to be construct- |

system here have been completed.
These dugouts are replicas of the
most approved type of battle front
homes in use by the Allies. They
have been constructed by specially se
lected units of the several infantry
regiments, members of which have
been chosen for “experience and skill
in constructive work., These units
will be used fcr work requiring abil
ity in the use of tools, and will do
work similar to that performed by
engineering regiments, The con

of dugout now In use, and it is con

in the trenches, and until they can
be rehabilitated the infantrymen can

Taking Substitutes for Nuxated Iron
Say That Ordinary Metallic Iron Preparations Can Not Possibly Give the Same
STRENGTH, POWER AND ENDURANCE
As Organic Iron. Besides They May Upset the Digestion, Disturb the Secretions and Thereby Do
More Harm Than Good, and That Health Officials and Physicians Everywhere Should
Caution the Public Against Accepting Inferior Substitutions in Medicines.
Dr. James Francis Sullivan, formerly
Physician of Bellevue Hospital (Out

Schuyler C. Jaques, Visiting Surgeon
of St. Elizabeth's Hospital, New York

Surgeon of Chicago; Dr. Ferdinand
King, New York Physician and Med-
Ical Author, and others give valuable
advice and information on the use of
organic iron as a tonic, strength and
blood builder. l
Careful investigation by designatéd
physicians among druggists and patients
has revealed, the fact that there are
thousands of people taking iron who do
not distinguish between organic iron and
metallic iron and that such persons often
fail to obtain the vi{!al energy, strength
and endurance which they seek, simply
because they have taken the wrong form
of iron. They seem to think iron is iron
on a good deal the same theory that a
potato would be a potato whether cooked
or raw, entirely ignoring the fact that
the cooking {)rocess makes certain lm-l
portant cellular changes in the potato
that renders it far more easy of assimi
lation by the blood and tissues. No one
would hardly expect to derive the same
strength from™eating raw potatoes that
he would from eating cooked potatoes,
vet, according to the opinions of some
physicians who have made a study of
the subject, taking raw, unprepared, me.
tallic iron is gomewhat like eating raw
potatoes.
Therefore, physicians mentioned below
advise those who feel the need of a
strength and blood builder to go to their
family doctors and obtain a prescription
calling for organic iron—Nuxated Iron—
and present this to their druggist so that
there may be no quéstion about obtain

Nuxated Iron and its widespread sale (It
