at the Dempsey Hotel. About fifty guests

Miss Flora Shingler, of Ashburn, is
visiting Miss Minnie Goodwyn Artope.
The Idle Hour Country Club gave a
week-end dance for its members and
out-of-town guests.
An event of the week in the social
whirl was the dance given by the enlist
ed men of the 106th Sanitary Train of
the Thirty-first division at Camp
‘Wheeler. Music was furnished by the
106th Sanitary orchestra.
Miss Lillian Bass entertained for
members of the graduating class of
Wesleyan College at a prom party at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Burden
in Vineville.
Saturday afternoon a tea was given
by Miss Leonora Neel tn honor of the
members of the senior class of Wesleyan
College. The party took place at the
home of Miss Neel's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. J. N. Neel,
Miss Adele Dennis also entertained
the Wesleyan College seniors at her
home. Sweet peas in lavender and white,
the colors of the class of 1918, were
used in the decorations.
Brigadier General and Mrs. Walter
Harris entertained Thursday evening
after the performance at the Grand The
ater, where 105 French soldiers were
guests at a buffet supper for the officers
%tho French heroes, and in honor of
Jor General Leßoy Lyon and Mrs.
Lyon at the Harris home.
Mrs. L. G. Stallings, of Atlanta, the
house guest of Mrs. W. E, Dunwody,
was entertained at the Idle Hour Coun
try Club. Mrs. Nisbet Tinsley was the
guest at an informal game of bridge
for Mrs. Stallings at Mrs. Tinsley's

Mrs. Eli Flkan and Stanley Elkan
were in Atlanta last week.
Mrs. L. G. Stallings, who was the
guest of Mrs. W. E. Dunwody, returned
at the end of the week to Atlanta.
Mrs. C. R. Harper, of New York, is
visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. D.
Huguenin. Mrs. Harper will go from
Macon to her summer home in Green
ridge, Conn.
