McElroy, lieutenant attached to the
Fourteenth Field Ambulance, American
Expeditionary Forces, who is reported
as missing in action, formerly practiced
his profesison in this city, and enlisted
from this eity. A pheto recently sent
by him shows him with F‘renc}; and

“The stars Incline, but do not compel.”
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13, 1918,
This is a sinister and uncertain day,
according to astrology. Although the
Sun, Uranus and Venus are all in beneflo
aspect, Mars, Saturn and Uranus are ad
ver~e. .
It is particularly threatening for all as
sociations in which hoth men and women
are concerned. It is mot a lucky time
for business agreements.
There is a forbidding sign for seeking
employment or advancement. It is not a
time to bespeak the support of any one of
influence, for while promiSes may be eas
ily obtained, they will be forgotten.
Army officers who desire the co-opera
tion or advice of men In high place
should delay any negotiations until a more
favorable rule of the stars.
Saturn glves warning of troubles In
mines or accidents in excavations,
Again the evil star that is believed to
encourafe deception or treachery is in a
place of power. There may be a nation
that causes embarrassment or unexpected
complications
Although with the waning year there
may be depression of spirits, the seers de
clare that 1919 will bring benefits even
greater than have been dreamed of by
the most optimistic.
While this may not be a lucky day
in buainess or love n"alru it is luyrpoled
to be most promising” for the buying of
gifts and the bestowal of them.
This is not a favorable wedding day,
but they who brave all superstition will
probably benefit from relatives who have
wealth to will away.
One of the pleasant forecasts prom?
that many unexpected visitors will be
dwolcomod to their homes during the holi
‘;:rmnl whose biythdate it is have the
promise of a successful year with travel
and change. New friends will be many.
Children born on this day have the
promise of good fortune. These subjects
of Sagittarius are usunllny good-tempered,

steady and trustworthy.
