was held Thursday afternoon, Jan
uary 16, in the assembly room of the
tibrary. The service flag with its 24 blue
stars and omne gold star was displayed.
Plans were made and committees appoint
ed to arrange for Memorial Day in April
and a resolution was adopted looking to
ward the making of Memorial Day, this
goar. not only a reunion for the veterans,
ut a day of celebration for the boys who
have returned from France. Mrs. Hinton
read a paper on “The Rightful Possession
of Alsace-Lorraine,” which was followed
by several selections of patriotic music on
