The bride wore a suit of blue cloth,
with hat to match. Her bouquet
was of Bride roses and valley lilies.
Her attendant was Mrs. Howard M,
Land, of Austell. Mrs., Land wore a
dress of blue cloth. |
The best man and attendant were
Mr. Seabrook and Howard M. Love.
Luncheon was served and immedi
ately after the ceremony the couple
left for Augusta, Savannah and other
places on a trip. Mr. and Mrs. Moss

now residing in Anniston, Ala., with

several days in Atlanta.
Mrs. Carter came over to attend a
ineeting of the Piedmont Continental
Chapter, D. A. R, of which she was
vice regent two terms and also was
i representative of the chapter at the
natlonal congress. In Anniston Mrs.
Carter takes an interest in club work,
being president of the Readers’ Club
and a member of pther organizations. |
Her daughter, wh:wu formerly Miss
Marguerite Carter, of Atlanta, is also
active in club work lin Anniston. She
Is president of the U, D. . Chapter
and secretary and treasurer of the
D. A. R. Chapter. Mrs. Poundstone
still sings, being a member of the
cholr of the First Presbyterian
Chureh. While here a series of pleas
ant informal affairs have beon ten

HE wedding of Miss Clare Ger-
T shon to Bert L. Fox was an in
teresting event of the past
week in Atlanta, taking place on Wed
nesday evening at the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George
A. Gershon, on West Foyrteenth
street,
Dr, David Marx performed the cer
emony at 8:30 o'clock, and a recep
tion followed the marriage. The at
tendants were Miss Vernice Rosen
berg, of Albany, and Leopold Hein.
The bridal party was grouped be
fore an altar, having for a background
a bank of palms and Fuster lilies.
Over the altar was a canopy pf smi
lax, white hyacinths and white roses,
and small Incandescent lights glow
ed amidst the greenery. The bride, who
was given away by her father, wore
a wedding gown of white satin and
tulle, made with full court train em
broidered in pearls. The gown was
trimmed with old point lace which
had been worn by the bride's mother
on her wedding day, and the bridal
vell was bordergd with rare old lace
which had been worn by the bride's
great-grandmother. -
The bridal bouquet was of bride's
roses and white hyaoinths, The madid
of honor wore pink tulle over pink
Georgette, embroidered in silver but
terflies, and her flowers were a shower
bouquet of pink roses, white hyacinths
and violets,
Tw6 hundred and fifty guests at
tended the wedding and reception
which followed. In the dining room,
pink and white was the color motif,
the bridal cake in the center being
surrounded by a mound of roses and
hyaecinths,
Mrs. Gershon, mother of the bride,
was gowned for the evening in black
velvet, a corsage bouquet of Parma
violets and hyacinths being worn.
Mrs. Jacob FKox, Jr., mother of the
Eroom, wore silver cloth veiled in
black lace, with a corsage bouquet of
orchids. ’
Mr. Fox and his bride went to
New York, Atlantic City and Wash
ington for their wedding trip. Upon
returning to Atlanta they will reside
temporarily with the bride's family, on
Fourteenth street.
