Adriatic. Captain Eddie Rickenbacker, America's premier ace, who is credited with 26 German flyers, is
in the center. To his right is Lieutonant P. F. Baer, of Fort Wayne, |nd., who brought down eight Ger
man D"Il..l. while Captain Douglas Campbell, of Mount Hamilton, Cal., on Captain Rickenbacker's
left, got six.

An Im&ressive ceremony in memory of the slain soldiers of the little Polish army was held in front of
the Kosciusko Monument at Wash ington the other day., Bugles Dangler, of the Wyllter Reed Hospital,
blew “taps” for the men who hag died for Poland’s independence, and Mlle. Rose Szewc, former secretary
