WELL DONE, TEDDY,
_ Ensign Tedford H. Cann, better known as Teddy Cann, cham
pron swimmer of the N. Y. A, C, is back home again after being
awarded the congressional medal of honor for exceptional bravery.
He was a member qf the crew of the vessel when she sprang a
loak Cann dove into the flooded bilge amd, with pieces of corly
stopepd the leak, saving the ship.

phone operator with the America n forces in France, and her father,
R. G. Hutchins, Jr,, president of the National Bank of Commerce,
had served abroad with the home and hospital branch. They also
arrived on the liner Espagne Friday.

ice cross at Verdun. He was sur rounded by a flock of six German
planes and escaped( landing in a f orest to prevent the enemy from
