emony a reception was held at the res
idence of the bride's parents, to which
were invited the members of the Epis-{
copal choir and a few intimate friends.

HE Easter gaiety started off with a
large damce at the K. of P. hall
Monday mnight at which aout a hun
dred young people were present.
Friday night the Theta Sigma fraternity
entertained with a dance at the Albion |
hotel. Saturday night there was a dance
at the Country Club. This week there will |
be a number of dances given, for this
seems to be the only form of pleasure
the young people care much about. |
The Friday night dances at the Sol
diers' Club are very delightful affairs. The
dance Friday night was chaperoned by
Mrs. W. W. Fry, Mrs. J. F, Sturman,
Mrs. Charles Broome and Mrs. Albert
Barnes.
The club women of Augusta are ofcu
pied these days with the clean-up cam-|
paign that will last two weeks, and the
Victory L.oan campaign.
Saturday, Memorial Day, was generally
observed in Augusta. There was a large
parade in the afternoon, in which the vet
erans of the World War and Spanish-
American War marched with the old vet
erans of the 60s. The Daughters of the
Confederacy entertained the veterans with
a luncheon as usual at the court house
Saturday, and the usual program was car
ried out at the cemetery,
