1 HE marriage of Miss Inez Hollings
| worth and Samuel Shepherd was
| solemnized at Grace Episcopal
Church on Wednesday evening at 6:30
o'clock, the Rev, R. N, MecCallum per
forming the ceremony. The church
'was beautifully decorated with Easter
lilles and festoons of ivy, the altar be
ing especially attractive with white
flowers and lighted candles. The bride
entered on the arm of her father, J. E.
Hollingsworth, to the strains of Lo%Nen
grin's wedding march played by Miss
Lilllan Stewart, and was met at the
altar by the groom. Following the cer
emony a reception was held at the resg
idence of the bride's parents, to which
were invited the members of the Epis
copal choir and a few intimate friends.
There were many handsome presents.

Mrs. Robert Lee Singleton left last
Sunday to visit Mrs. Sam Caraker in
Milledgeville for a few days. She joined
her daughter, Miss Sarah Singleton and
went to Atlanta to attend grand opera.

pied these days with the clean-up cam

Saturday, Memorial Day, was generally

erans of the 60s. The Daughters of the
Confederacy entertained the veterans with
a luncheon as usual at the court house

en’s” Clubs will hold its annual
meeting at Clarkston in the Woman's
Clud house Saturday, May 38, at 10
o'clock. The federation was organ
ized in March and owes its existence
to Professor Brittain and Miss Par
rish, who saw that greater efliciency
in the rural school children could be
accomplished by better co-operation
between parent and teacher. The pro
gram has been planned and is full of
interesting and intsructive subjects.
The ineeting will be opened by the
chaplain. The three principal fea
tures are “The War Garden,” by Mrs,
Nellle Peters Black; “Improved Meth.
ods in the Home,” by Miss Burge,
county home economics agent, and
“Improved Methods on the Farm,” by
Professor Carr, county farm demon
strator. The speakers will be intro
duced by Mayor E. A. Warwick. En
roliment of representatives and re
ports from clubs will occupy the first
hour. Elections of officers will be
held. Every woman will carry a box
lunch and will be served with hot
drinks by the Clarkston Civie Club at
noon,
