High Bchool commence will take place
May 25 and 26, when eighteen pupils,
eight bovs and ten girls, wifi receive thelr

that Saturday afternoon by Mrs.

Five hundred was played, prizes being won

George Scheer. After the game an ice
course and a salad course were served.

HE Eastern Stars presented “The Old
Maid's Return,” at the Grand Thos
ater Thursday evening. The pros
ceeds will be used to improve the hall.
The Haleyon Club and the Young Mas
trons' Club were entertained by Mrs. Hemry
Milan Friday. Bridge was played. About
forty guests were present,
Mrs, E. T. Moon was hostess to the mem
bers of the Twentieth Century Club Friday
at her home. There were four tables of
bridge.
Members of the Sewing Club were guests
of Mrs. H. O. Burnside Thursday. After
an afternoon spent at fancy work, refresh
ments were served.
An entertainment of Friday was the re
ception by Mrs. Howard Park, president of
the Woman's Club, at the clubrooms. Eaeh
guest brought a book as a donation for the
library. A large collection was received.
Mrs. Park was assisted in receiving by the
officers of the various sections of the club.
The members of the senior class of the
high school entertained at the annual pie
nic at Warm Springs on Saturday. They
motored to the springs. After lunch they
enjoyed a swim in the pool. A similar
