took place Saturday morning at 10
o'clock, at the First Presbhyterian
C‘hurch, on Peachtree road. The cer
emony was performed by the Rev. J.
Sprole Lyons, in the presence of a
group of close relatives.
The church was decorated with
palms, arranged around the altar.
The bride wore a tailored gown of
dark blue tricolette, with hat of blue
straw trimmed with a dark blue bead
ed band. She wore a blouse of white
Georgette crepe, and a corsage bou
quet of orchids and valley lilies,
Mrs, Austin, the mother of the
bride, was gowned in black satin and
she wore a hat of orchid-colored
straw,
Mrs, Henry Badham, of Birming
ham, the bridegroom’s mother, wore
a tailored suit of blue gabardine, with
hat to ‘match.
Mrs. Henry Williams, the bride's
sister, was gowned in dark blue Geor
gette crepe,, which was heavily bead
ed, and & hat of Georgette crepe and
straw combined, completed the cos
tume.
Following the ceremony at the
church, Mr, and Mrs. W, E. Austin,
the parents of the bride, entertained
at a wedding breakfast at their home
on Peachtree street. The apartments
were decorated with spring flowers,
and in the dining room the table had a
cloth of embroidered linen, combined
with filet lace,
The center was adorned with a bas
ket filled with pink sweetpeas a(?d the
silver candlesticks were shaded with
pink silk shades. 'The other appoint
ments were in pink. Only the imme.
diate relatives were guests at, the
breakfast, William Badham, of bßlr
mingham, who served in France as an
aviaior, was an attendant at the mar
riage.
Mr. and Mrs. Badham motored to
Asheville, N, ~ where they will
spend several weeks at Grove Park
Inn. On their return to Birmingham
they will be at home at the Hotel Tut
wiler for several months before go
ing to housekeeping.

go to Chattanooga June 3 to be ma
tron of honor at the wedding of her
cousin, Miss Sallie Sparks, to Thomas
McHenry, formerly of Pittsburg, but
now residing in Chattanooga.
