Plans were discussed for the erection of a
club house and a committee appointed for
investigation. Refreshments were served

a delightful picnic Wednesday out at
Hayston.
A very happy occasion of the past week
was the picnic given by Mrs. Edward
Hutchins on Friday afternoon to the mem
bers of her Sunbeam Band, of the Bap
tist Church, ug, her home. A number of
games were played and much enjoyed,
at the conclusion of which dainty refresh
ments were served. There were fifty
guests present.
Mrs. C. A. Franklin entertained a few
friends very delightfully Sunday evening
at sugper, in compliment to her daugh
ter's house guests. The e¢olor scheme of
blue and white, Phi Delta Theta fra
ternity colors, were used in pretty effect
in the table decorations. Covers were
laid for Misses Jane Cater, of Perry;
Macy Rose Brown, of Americus; Louise
Strange and Maggie Perry, of Winder;
Katherine Thomas, Ida Shellnutt, of San
dersville; Helen Cox, of Monroe; Josephine

second Division, has réceived his honor
able discharge from the army and re
turned home Tuesday night after several
months’ active service overseas.

Stella Cooley was her sister’'s mald of
honor, and Mr. Morris Siegel, brother of
the groom, acted as best man, The
bridesmaids were Miss Della Siegel, Misa

Fannie Cooley, The groomsmen. were:

The Misses Bertha and Laura Roths
child were entertained Tuesday afternoon
with a surprise luncheon and bridge party
at the Yagsht Club, The Misses Rothschild
will leave soon for New York to reside.
An attractive party of the week was
a miscellaneous shower given for Miss
Anne Bunger, who will be a June bride,
by Mrs. W. 8. Wilson, Miss Leila Wil
som and Miss Teresa Getsinger, at the
home of Mrs. Wilson. -

cently returhed from overseas, was the
honor guest at a reception Monday even
ing when his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.
