the rector and father of the bride, the
Rev. W. H. Higgins, officlating. Miss
Oaroline Miggins was maid of honor for
ner sister and Valnere Hawthorn, brother
as the groom, was best man. Little Miss
Valnere Hawthorn made a lovely ring

frock. he bride wore a beautiful gown
s white organdie and lace. The maid of
onor was gowned in pink organdie and 4
ace. After the marriage the couple left
for Atlantic Beach and other points ou
the East Coast of Florida, where they

will make their home in Thomasville,

residence of Miss Emign Melntosh, the
Rev. Robert 8. Sanders officiating. After
the marriage the couple went out to Briar-
Till plantation, the country hotme of the
‘bridegroom, where they will spend some
weeks. ’
The marriage of Miss Alise Henricks and
Charles Bryant, both of this ecity, took
place Sunday afternoon at the home of
the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M,
Hendricks, the Rev. E. M. Overby offi
clating. Miss Verma Kidd was maid of
honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Eula
Belle Hendricks and Miss Ella Laura
Kidd, Raymond Floyd acted as best man.
White Georgette and satin formed the
lovely gown worn by the bride, and she
carried a bouquet of valley lilles. After
a short bridal trip the couple will make
their home In Thomzsville,
An interesting ml?etl foursome of eight
couples was played on the golf links at
the country c¢lub Thursday afternoon. The
first prize was won by Mrs. A, T. How«r
and C. W. Hudson and the second by ‘Mrs,
Rhydon Mays and Addison Trice. Tea
wans served after the game. \
