lost goods who, having means of know
ing the rightful owner, retains them for
the finder's own use or advantage, may
upon conviction thereof be punished for
nimgle larceny. A person who finds lost
goods is legally liable to the rightful
~owner for their proper care while in the
finder's possession, and he is legally en
titled to be reimbursed for expenses in
curred in properly caring for the goods
found, and may retain them until such
expenses are paid.
