A marriage of interest was that of Miss
Christine Bussey and Dennis Burke Sunday
at the home of the bride's parents, Mr,
and Mrs. W. E. Bussey. The Rev. T. B,
Stanford performed the ceremony in the
presence of the tamllg and a few inti
mate friends. Immediately after the
ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Burke left for
4 two weeks' trip to Macon, Augusta and
White Springs, Fla. Upon their return

" A wedding of interest to Cordele folks
and adjoining community was that of Miss
Sadie Perlis to Maurice Gattlieb which
took place in Albany. The Rev. Dr. Lan
dau, rabbi of the Jewish congregation in
Albany, performed the ceremony. The
bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 1.
Perlis and a niece of L. J. Roobin of
Cordele. The groom, Mr. Gattlieb, is a
young business man in Tuskegee, Ala. The |
couple will reside in Tuskegee. Mr. and
Mra. I. Perlis and family, Mr. and Mrs.?
L. J. Roobin and family made up the wed- |
ding party to Albany and after the cere
mony there was a wedding supper at the
Albany Hotel. The couple left during the
night for Atlantic City, New York and
points in the East for their wedding tour.

PRETTY entertainment of last Wed
nesday was the porch party of Mrs.

tained at a dance on Wednesday evening
at their home on Ridley avenue. The
guests of honor were Misses Sara Wright

]Mahel Adekee of Carroliton. There were
twelve couples present.
A pretty entertainment of Friday even
| ing was that of Miss Louise Moon at her
home in Broad street. Dancing was the
feature of the evening.
The Halcyon Culb members were enter
tained by Mrs. Duke Davis at her home
in Hill street Wednesday afternoon. Five

Mrs. Banks Callaway was the guest
