FARMS AND LAND FOR SALE 83 FARMS AND LAND FOR SALE 83

Why not own a smaller farm near the best
. 2 .
market in the world and be independent
.
of the boll weevil?
Especially when you can buy the land as cheap or CHEAPER than you
pay where you have to raise cotton, or else!
We have been selling land around Atlanta for 14 years. We know
that we have a good many places that we can sell at the same prices they
were held at years ago.
In other words, there has been practically NO SPECULATION and
consequently NO advances like there has in a g{eal many sections,
Below is a list of Farms in the Atlanta neighborhood that should fit
any one in the market for a farm, large or small:
$ 25.00 per acre, 327 acres Campbell County, 1 dwelling, 4 three and four
room tenant houses: school and churches 1 mile; 135 acres open;

$ 76.00 per acre, DeKalb County, 9 miles center city, 91 acres fine red land;
good improvements, on main road.
$ 75.00 per acre, 200 acres Fulton County; good large home place; 3 good
tenant houses, ete.; Fulton County paved road; 10 miles center city.

city, 6,000 feet paved road frontage; three houses, large barn; rail
.road siding on.place; 90 acres fine, well-drained black bottoms.
$175.00 per acre, 100 acres fine red land on concrete road, 8 miles center
of Atlanta, with good houses, ete. This lies as well as any land in
. this section; most of it practically level, and has a lot of good
saw timber, poplars five feet through, white oaks three feet
through, ash, hickory and long leaf pine.
$260.00 per acre, 50 acres and modern home with electric lights, bath, water

HOROSCOPE. |
|
SUNDAY, AUGUST 31, 1919, |
This I 8 not a lucky day, according to
astrology. Neptune, Venus and Mercury
are all in adverse aspect,
During this sway of the stars it is wise
to rest and to pursue routine duties.
Conditions are most unfavorable for
love affairs, since they encourage deceit
and inconstaney. .
It is an unfortunate planetary govern
ment for writing and love letters should
be delayed, for they are under a sinister
influence,
Clergymen and all who bespeak publie
attention may find audiences critical and
unresponsive, while this rule prevails,
Religious dissensions and troubles of va
rious -sorts are indicated for the United
States, since prejudice and uncharitable
ness will gain ascendancy.
Church and State will clash in politi
cal movements to be launched in the au
tumn, astrologers foretell,
While Neptune is in a place unfriendly
to humanity, there will he a continued
increase in moral obliquities, Laxaties in
standards long maintained in America
will be more and more evident within
the next few months. z
Increase of divorce is one of the signs
of the time in which the old bhars against
transgression of marriage laws are let
down
According to ancient lore, this should be
an auspicious day for fishermen,
The Mars of the president is not far
from the ascendant of the king of Eng
land, an aspeet that may cause some dip
lomatic complication, Canada nay be in
volved,
The Pope at Rome now comes under
adverse lunar influences that presage po
litical and religious troubles,
Persons whose birthdate it is should be
unusually careful and discreet during the
coming year. They should safeguard
themselves against deception, intrigue and
slander, Financial affairs will be satis
factory, if schemes of every sort are
avoided,
Children born on this day may be rest
less and highstrung. These subjects of
Virgo who have Mercury as their prinei
pal ruler learn quickly, have great endui
ance, and remain young in middle life.

Germany Masses 50,000
. . .
Men in Lithuania, Report
(By International News Service.)
LONDON, Aug. 30.—Germany has
massed an army of 50,000 troops in
Lithuania in violation of the peace
terms, according to information re
ceived by the Daily Express from
Berlin today.
General Von Der Goltz, who recent
ly returned to Mitau on the pretense
c. restoring order among the troops
of the Iron Division, who had muti=
nied when ordered to leave the Baltie
provinces, is said to be the originator
of a scheme for the formation of a
large and reliable German army in
the “Polish corridor” to be ready for
any eventuality.
It is hinted the Prussians and the
Russian monarchists have effected a
secret treaty by which, when the
Russians are restored, the armies will
unite to overthrow Poland and them
establish Russian and Prussian mon
archies. Another report is that the
Germans are scheming to seize the
Russian Baltic provinces.
The so-called mutiny of the Irom
Division in Lithuania is characterized
in well informed circles as “a revolu
‘tion ordered from higher up.”
