country home of Mr. and Mrs. W. A,
Burdette, was the scene of a barbe

Fla, Mr. and Mrs. Worthington are here
for a month en route from the North to
Miami, visiting Mr. and Mrs. Burdette,
parents of Mrs. Worthington. The bar

Mrs, Lee Council was hostess Friday aft

of the First Methodist Church. The chil
dren were gathered on the lawn and sand
wiches and punch served, after which the

went to the Methodist orphanage at Ma
con. About twenty-five were present.

to take place November 6. Miss Walters
is popular in Americus, where she has re

Parker were married in Oglathorpe last
week. Mrs. Parker, as Miss Davidson, has

ker left for their future home in Dunei

announcing the marriage of Miss Eugenis
Collins to James H. Todd of Staunton, Va.,
at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Chalmers
C'ollins in Pittsburg, SepYember 24., Mrs.
/| Todd spent the summer in Americus, vis
iting relatives, and resided here until two
years ago, when her family moved to
Pittsburg, Mr. Todd is of a Virginia fam
ily, and has achieved success on the
screen, where he is playing opposite Elsi»
Ferguson in the Fox Film Corporation.
For the present Mr. and Mrs. Todd will
live in New York, and later will go to
Honolulu for several months,

birthday party for Florric Warren, who
celebrated her eighth birthday. Games
