By GEORGE H. MANNING,
Washington Correspondént of The
Gogr‘hn. ‘
WASHINGTON, ¥Feb. 12—Senator
Harris has requestdd the secretary
of agriculture to have bulletihs pre
pared explaining varioys methods
recommended by the department for
feeding Georgia hogs in order to
make them legs “soft and oily.”
A report made to the Senate last
week by the Fedefal Trade Commis
sion in response to a request of Sena
tor Harris, asserted that the reason
why the hog raisers of Southern
Géorgia were réceiving from 1 to §
cents a pound less for their hogs than
other hog raisers was because the
meat was soft and oily 4nd not so
firm as hogs ralsed in other sections
that brought higher prices. Senator
Harris has set out to discover if dis
cfimination was being practised by
the packers.
Senator Harris is unwilling to ad
mit that the guality of the Southern
hog is responsible for lower prices,
and asserts information furnished
him reveals that an lilinois business
man was buying Georgia hogs at the
cheap price and shipping t‘hem to
A Clean Newspaper for Southern Homes
Chicago to sell at the current mar
ket prices for Waestern Hogs. 1t
Georgia hogs can be sold by the
packers in Chicago at the same price
obtained for Western hogs, Senator
Harris insistds the ,Georgia farmers
should receive the same prices.
.Secretary of Agriculture Meredith
has assured Senator Harris that all
steps necessary will be taken to fur
nish the full infoermation to the
Southern farmers. ¢

Opposed to Censorship

sorship of moving picture films wus
the chief topic of discussion of the

yesterday afternoon. The concensus
of opinion among the members pres

cost a large sum and would work
such hardship on owners of moving

You Can’t Brush Or
Wash Out Dandruff
The cnly sure way to get rid of
dendruff is to dissolve it; then you
Cegtroy it entirely. To do this get
atout four ounces of ordinary liquid
arvon; apply it at night when retir
ing; use enough to moisten the scalp
snd rub it in gently wtih the finger
tips.
- Do this tonight, and by morning
most, if not all, of your dandruff will
te gone. and three or four more ap
rlications will completzlv dissolve and
entirely destroy every single sign and
trace of it, no matter how much
dandruff you may have.
You will find, too, that all itching
and digging of the scalp will stop at
once, and your hair will b& fluffy,
lustrous, glosry, silky and soft, .and
look and feel .. hundred timus better.
You can get liquid arvol at any
drug store. It is inexpensive and
never fails to do the work.—Adv,
