Efforts are being made by teams
in the Jewish War Relief Campaign
to raise Atlanta’s SIOO,OOO quota by
Saturday night, according to an
nouncement at committee headquar
ters Thursday.
At a meeting of the team captains
Thursday, encouraging reports were
made. M. F. Goldstein, vice chair
man, in charge of the campaign dur
!ing the absence of Chairman Hirsech,
announced kevewal voluntary sub
[scrimiorm from prominent citizens of
l Atlanta, and the committee was hope
ful of receiving many others fmm|
persons not of Jewlish faith. “’ord{‘
from Savannah indicated that [rumi
the general canvass of that city, more |
than $70,000 had been pledged. En- |
couraging reports were also received |
from Columbus and other rcities. '
It is hoped the quota of SIOO,OOO
will be raised by the end of the
week, and contributors who are hold- l
ing ecards awaiting the call of the;]
teams, are requested to mail these
cards to the headquarters, 142 Peach
tree street, because illness among the
workers may delay a personal call
Jt is -hoped the tabulation of all
subscriptions will be finished in time{
for publication Friday, and it is
urged those who have made subscrip- |
tions, but have not yet sent in ca.rds,‘
do so at once, |
Several news accounts from out of
the State papers, commending the
editorials in the Atlanta papers Mon
day, were read, and the support being
received from the Atlanta papers was
discussed and highly praised. Sec
retary Fred Russlander, who is on
leave from his paper and hopes to
return March 1, gave the following
statement:
“The campaign is progressing well.
The Jewish people, upon whom rests
the primary burden, have, without
calling upon their friends for help
raised almost two-thirds of the quota.
Inasmuch as the relief is distributed
impartially to people of all religions,
it is expected the generous hearted
people of ths community will con
tribute their part towards the cause.
This is not an appeal for alms. The
people to be served were in other
days men of prominence and wealth.
It is a temporary condition to pre
vent starvation until the new crop
comes in, and a service in which all
good citizens can join.”

The only sure way to get rid of
dandruff is to dissolve it, then you
destroy it entirely. To dJdo this, get
about four ounces of ordinary liquid

and rub it in gently with the finger
tips,
Do this tonight, and by morning
‘mn\t, if not all, of your dandruft will

entirely destroy cveiy single sign and

You will find, too, that all itching
