Some Stories Judge Walter Ormond

By R. A. 8. JOHNSON.
Down In Judge Walter Ormond'a

of the colored race collect* Itself, and
I allows all of Ita force to remain fasten

ready with some story that tha son

Here la one he quotes from a very
I prominent gentleman of Atlanta In the
| legal profession:
•'There was an old negro named Ned
fwho went to the solicitor and said:
‘Alarster, I’se been gwlne thlnkln’ dat I

I you kin give me de place to wuk, I

" ‘Well, Ned, have you got any

of stock. Kaln’t you
roun' tall mule? Well, you know I had
hit till t’other day a sheirff cum along
and fl• faced It.'"
Here’s another on the attorney:
A negro had been brought up In
I court for stealing chickens, and the
I lawyer Inquired of him If he was not
I going to have some one to represent
| him.
"No. *ur. I'se gwlne on seventy years,
I and dere haln’t no use In me Improvla-

"What did she say?" asked Mr. Or

"I kaln't tell hit before his court.

"What did you do?"

"What happened then?"
"Why, den dat nigger pasted me
