He accepted the Invitation and declared that after drinking the beverage, he suddenly lost consciousness and remembered noth ing more for a long while. Judge Broyles said he could hardly believe this story. He put the boy on probation, remarking: ‘‘Walter, the next time a stra asks you to drink soda water him, you run—run as hard aa you can and gst away from him.
