It Is estl mated that there are 15,000 delegates and visitors present. They have been coming from all over the United States for the past ten days In vehicles or trains and many walking. They are cnmplng In the woods and are be |ng fed on the grounds. The program consists of several ser mons by Dunkard ministers, both men and women, a barbecue, for which twenty beeves, 700 barrels of apple butter and other edibles in proportion have been ordered, a public foot wash ing of the members of the church nnd a grand song service at midnight Sun- dav night. The church has decided that next year It will hold Its convention some place In California The membership in this neighbor hood and the Miami valley Is very large and with the possible exception of Pennsylvania, Ohio la the strongest state In numbera. Alleging that through the careless ness of the Empire Printing and Box Company, for whom he formerly work ed, he lost an arm 'and "can not breathe, sit, walk or lie down” with out great pain, Walter Conally has filed suit against the company for 825,000 damages. Keller and his wife at Ninety second and Dahlgren Place, Fort Hamilton, John Kelly, one of guests, was shot dead early today by John Kilbride, who Is said to have been an attentive admirer of hit victim' wife. Mrs. Kelly threw herself between her husband and Kilbride In the desperate fight to prevent the tragedy which all present knew to be Inevitable, The unhappy woman received In her own breast one of the bullets Intended for Kelly and her chance for life Is about In 100. She Is In the Norwegian hospital, guarded by a policeman whose order is to arrest her If the surgeons succeed In saving her life. A general police alarm has been out for Kilbride, nnd a dozen detectives from headquarters are looking for him. The murderer lied hatless, and Is believed to have escaped In a row boat. - "BEWARE OF SOOT," ADVISES RECORDER When Waites Hudson, a white youth, 10 years of age, was arraigned Tuesday morning before Recorder Broyles on the charge of drunkenness, he related a remarkable story. He told the recorder a stranger met him Monday and Invited him to take drink of soda water. He accepted the Invitation and declared that arter drinking the beverage, he suddenly lost consciousness and remembered noth lug mure fur n lung while. Judge Broyles said he could hardly believe this story. He put the: boy on probation, remarking: “Walter, the next time a stranger asks you to drink soda water with him, you run—run as hard as you can nnd get away from him. Don’t take any more chances like this.” PURSE SNATCHER ROUND TO COURT Special to The Georgian. Savannah, Ga., June 6.—Harry She bnchowltz, the Pole who snatched a pocket book containing 215 from Mrs. . C. Nugser, on Bull street, about < 'clock yesterday afternoon, was bound over to the superior court this morn ing. The robbery was one of the boldest ever seen here, as the street w*s filled with pedestrians. A crowd of men took up the chase and caught the offender. Shebachowitz said that ha was hun gry and out of work. He Is one of the laborers from the North who refused to continue further South, claiming that he had been misled by a labor contractor. . Their exhibit rend llko a sort of primer of the universe, comprising, as It did, the rudiments of nearly every branch of knowledge. There were col lections of rocks, shells, pressed flow ers anil butterflies. There.were fish, real live ones, nnd growing plants. Thero was shown cotton In every stngo of development from seed to cotton goods. There were tiny baskets, and even garments made by the children themselves. An exhibit in dressmaking proved In terostlng because so far removed from anything amateurish. Two large rooms wore given over to tho work of tho sewing class. There were on exhibit score* of pieces of lingerie, and several dozen lints, every one of which did honor to the sartorial art. Near the main building, In a rose covered cottage thoroughly auggestlv of domestic felicity, tho class In cook Ing and domestic science gave a most enticing exhibit. There were seen many specimens of dainty cooking. The hrenil stuffs were especially remarkable for variety nnd perfection. Over a dozen kinds of cako were shown, and os many varieties of fine candy.
