Atlanta Drops Game
In Two Awful Innings
Memphis, Tenn., June IS.—With Tom
Hughes awektvardly gamboling In left
Held and little Dick Crosier working at
second base for the first time since
he used to play one rat In the streets
of Evansville, Hilly Smith put hia team
Into the debt this afternoon against
the Bableis. Otto Jordan, star second
sacker and field captain, was out of
business on account of the collision

game was like this:
First Inning.
Mr. Inftelder Crosier, minus auto-

Jeems Fox grounded to third and

filed out to renter. Short and sweet.
Third Inning.
Morse slapped a grass mower to
first, perishing Instantly. Jim Pox
ripped off a single to left, Stinson filed
nut to center. Hughes fanned. One
hit. but no runs.
Clark nut on three strikes. Thiel
got a two-bagger to left. Babb drew
a quartet of hum ones nnd ambled.
Carey grounded to third and n double
play ensued, Thiel being retired at
thlid nnd Carey at first. Side out.
One hit: no runs.
Fourth Inning.
Evers llled out to short. Burnum
fnnned. Crosier laid down a slow
grounder to short and beat It out. He
was speedy some and swiped second
with supple celerity. Winters ground
ed nut to first. One lilt, but no runs.
Nlcholls out, second to first. Nadeau
grounded to Sid Smith, who first fum
bled It and then threw badly to first,
Nadeau going lo second. Nadeau got
a hit and Smith an error. Plgsa filed
out to rlgltt and Nadeau went to third.

Sid Smith popped out to Nlcholls.
Whltey Morse drove a fly to left field
which Thiel dropped; safe on first.
Pox grounded to Babb, who threw wild

Stinson drew four balls and the bases
were full. Hughes surprised himself
by singling to left, Morse scoring and
Pox being caught nut at the plate.
Stinson went to third nnd liugheh to
