Smith will address the .voters of Cobb
and adjoining counties at Marietta on
Snturday next at 2 o'clock.
The speaking will take place in Ma
rietta's beautiful park in the center of
the town square. This inclosure, which
it large enough to accommodate an
audience of D,000 people, Is covered
with grass and dotted with beautiful
shade trees, making It an ideal spot
for such a meeting.
The convenient street car schedules
between Marietta and Atlanta make
this meeting easily accessible to the

and supporter* of Chief \V. R. Joynar
met Tuesday night and formed a cen
tral campaign committee In the Inter,
eat of hla candidacy for the mayoralty,
A number of short talks were made,
It being the expressed desire of those
present to roll up the largest majority
for Chief Joyner ever given to a candi
date for this offlee In Atlanta.
Representatives from each of the
eight wards of Atlanta were present,
and reported the conditions existing as
to the candidacy of the man whose
cause they chaipploned.
Secretary Charles N. Allen, of the
sub-committee of the city Democratic
executive committee being present,
Chief Joyner paid hla entrance fee of
1100.
J. W. Nelms waa selected chairman
and Evelyn Harris secretary of the
central committee. Ward committees
will be named Immediately, and the
campaign entered Into with a determi
nation to give the chief a great ma
jority on election day.
Another meeting will be called short
ly, when the general plan of'campaign
will be mapped out.

From a reliable source It was learned
Wednesday morning that plana are on
foot for the incorporating of two new
electrical concerns In Atlanta* one to
be in operation within the next elx
weeks and the other within ninety
days. Several local capitalist* are In
terested in both companies which will
not be competitive, and outside parties
are also Interested.
At a meeting of those Intereeted In
the project, which will be held the lat
ter part of this week, the detalla for
the incorporation of the first company
will he completed and the proper pa
pers filed. This concern will deal In
electrical construction and equipment.
The second company which will be
formed will operate In a different
branch of the electrical field ami \\ ill
be composed of practically the same
pitallsta as the first company.
The two corporations will bo
gest of their kind In the South,
the present plans are carried out will
operate in all sections of the state.

that many changes are to be made In
the personnel of the Central of Georgia
railroad officials In this city. One
change has already gone Into effect,

succeed Mr. fl. H. Warner, who haa
