takes a Jump to Nashville, and after
trimming the Finnltes will return to
Montgomery for a tuisel with Man

From Montgomery the team returns
home for a two-weeks’ stay, during
which time the ’Smlthltes will meet In
turn Little Rock. Memphis. Shreve
port and New Orleans.
Though things did not break any too
well for the Crackers during their re.
cent stay at home, Billy 8mlth has not
lost his cheerfulness, and he bellevei
that he and his men can make a better
showing against the Eastern teams on
their own grounds than they dbl
against these teems when they played
last at Piedmont.
With road games against the East
ern, team and then home games against
the Westerners following each other In
fast succession It looks as though the
Crackers ought to get a start for the
top In the near future.

The Tourists,” Augusta’s Great Team
By C. E. VAN LOAN.
By Private Leased Wire.
Loa Angeles, Cal., Jane 6.—Abrakam At-
tell, real fighting man. Is still the feather
weight champion of tbe world, and Frankie
Nell la a very soundly trounced young
man. Tbe ex-bantam weight champion was
beaten from end to end of a terrific twenty-
round fight—beaten at bla own style of
fight by a man who had never been rated
as anything more than a superlatively
clever boxer.
A low-browed gent In a stiff hat and a
flaring red tie voiced my sentiments at the
costless man struggled In the runways sfter
the fight wss over.
M Abt Attsll a parlor boxtr. eh?" said
he. "Well, show me where you get your
fighters." If a featherweight ever took
more punlahment than game little Frankie
Nell stood up under yesterday It did not
happen In this part of the country.
As sarly as the second round the blood
was streaming from Nell'a nose; In the
fourty .round Frankie's eye began to dose;
from the tenth round on to the finish the
blood poured from hit mouth. Blinded by
left Jabs, dased by rlghthaudara full In
ths face, Neil kept on flghtlnjr like the
little demon be Is. He bad no excuses to ]
offer; he fought one of the farst fights of j
his life, but be met a man wtv> prove!
himself hla master at everything which goes
to make up a fighter.
The grand climax came when the gong
rang for the nineteenth round. Neil oiuio
out of his corner and trotted to the cent*-:
of the ring, his bruised lower lip hanging
like a pendulum, hla nose spread to twlct ||
Its normal alxe and bla right eye n bins j
•lot In a puffed cheek. Nell rushed In.
trying to land with right and left upper- j
cuts, but was sent back with a heavy left
under the chin. A left awing ami a right 1
brought blood from AtteU’s nose. Atteil f
put In a light left to tfee-head and took I
two bard lefts In the eye In return. Both
landed hard rights In the face and Nell j
reached the head with right and left. M
was a question of brute strength aod both I
became exbnnated.
In the fait round Atteil fought more
carefully, but refused to give nn Im*.
Atteil rushed Nell all over tbe ring, l«nd-
Ing lights and lefts to the head. The? I
both were ao exhausted at tbe end of th* ]
round that they , were aeareely able to stand [
without holding on to each other.
