BISHOP W, A, CANDLER
REPLIES TO WILIER
Bishop Wsrron A. Candler declared
In a moat emphatic manner and gave
sttlklng Illustration* that conversion 1*
Instantaneous, In addressing the At
lanta Methodist ministers Informally
before their regular meeting was called
to order in Wesley Memorial church
Monday,
Bishop Candler stated that any one
who denied the fact had no knowledge
whatever of psychology, as It was an
elemental principle that man's whole
mind and being was often changed In
a short period. He gave hts own ex
perience as head of Emory College. He
entered the chapel one morning entire
ly void of religion, and before he left
It a few minutes later was a Chris
tian.
The bishop concluded by saying,
"When a man gets to figuring on such
things only God know* where he will
go." 1
