noon a shooting occurred across the
river, which resulted In the death of a
negro named Dykes, who has been em
ployed by the Arteelen Drilling Works
Tor some lime. Dyke* was shot by Will-
Baker because Dykes had come to hts
home to see Baker’s wife. Baker or
dered Dyke* away, but he seemed to
xay no attention, and the killing fol-
