AN INTERESTING ROMANCE.
Much speculation Is being Indulged
In by the smart net of New Tork so
ciety ns to the possibility of an engage
ment existing between Harold Vander
bilt and Miss Eleanor Sears. Cholly
Knickerbocker, In discussing tbe mat
ter, says;
Down at Beverly' Farms tbs other
day, I noticed the matrimonial drag
net slowly but surely enmeshing this
season’s greatest catch of tbs smart
set. Harold Vanderbilt.
It was up to Harold to lose his heart
sooner or later, he boa been going
about In such a care-free way. That
much obviously was inevitable, but
lust what he was to get In exchange
dor hie heart and hla millions was the
iroblem that was perplexing the fnah-
mables, and more especially those
with marriageable daughters.
The chorun girt, we all knew, Har-
d would eschew, but what more gratl-
-Ing alliance could possibly be Imag-
icd than the one that bids fair to be
come a reality? Miss Eleanor Bear*
Is on the very tip of the pinnacle of
Boston's exclusive set and probably the
most eminently titled girl In the Uni
ted States, from a social register point
of view, for a Vanderbilt to marry.
