Washington, Sept. lO.t-The crop reporting board of bureau of statistics of the
department of agriculture finds from the reports of the correspondents and agents
of the bureau that the average condition of cotton on August 26 was 77.3, as com
pared with 82.9 on July 25, 1906, 77.1 ou August 25, 1906, 84.1 on August 25, 1904, and
ten-yaar average of 73.2.
The following table shows the condition of the cotton crop by atatea on Au
gust 26, compared with previous yeafs, and that on July 26, 1906:
