kst opened weak this morning nt 8 points
decline from yesterday’s plow. 'This was
occasioned by unfavorable foreign rabies
and a general lack of Interest In the mar
ket. After the opening there was some
buying both for long nnd short nccount snd
prices became dull nnd steady.
Kentfment fs so badly divided that It I*
almost Impossible to get an Intelligent line
on the course ot prices for the Immediate
future, but It Is generally believed flint

of a very large yield. - *
It Is likely that receipts will he the most
Interesting feature for the near fu

New Orleans, Kept. 30.—Options In the
«wrller trailing of the Liverpool market
were fully responsive to our advnuee yes
terdny, but Inter developed considerable
weakness, closing prices showing bnrely

els. Bpot sales amounted to 6,030 bales, quo
tation* being raised 2 points. The market
continues to rule narrow nnd uninteresting.
Opening prices were lower to conform with
the easier course of mines abroad, but no
attempt was made by either side to im
prove their respective positions. .Bears

proved condition of the weather, nnd also
In the decidedly letter crop news. Bulls
might have taken advantage of the limited
buying on the part of exporters to re-

great deterioration reported a week or two
