12 THE ATLANTA GEORGIAN. SATTRDAV. SEPTEMBER 3, 199A APPLICATIONS FOR SALOON LICENSES. The Georgian has accepted these advertisements and prints them because the City Council, under ordinance, directs that they appear in ail daily papers, and we believe it best that all should know who the applicants for license are and where they propose to conduct saloons. We can not consistently accept pay for them,, and they are printed gratis. We feel that this explanation is due the public. Uceust at IS East Alabama run street. . M. He is no mere father to them. He Is much more. He Is their companion, their chum, their "pal.” They regard him as their most Interesting playmate, their closest friend.
