slowly but surely strengthening In every di
rection, nnd sentiment is bound to recog
nize this fact lu the near future. Would
buy wheat around present prices, as a
good advance Is due and likely to atart any
time. —
Do not neglect taking on some corn at
these prices, even If tne mnrket remains
dormant for n while longer, private reports
already coming In of husking returns being
very disappointing In Illluols, some of the
corn being soft nnd rotting. It looks ss

The Intcr-Ocean says: Cash business In
beat at Duluth yesterday was the beat of
le season—600,000, Including 800,000 bushels
o. 1 northern e. I. f. Buffalo, 99,000 No. 1
hard Duluth and 200,000 Manitoba. Salea of
Maultnba for export Tuesday were 400,000
bushels. Export business In corn was 64,000
bushels and 150,000 oats. Trading In Chicago
wsa light, 18,000 bushels wheat, 10,1—
and III 000 bushels oats.
Duluth and Winnipeg were large buyers
of wheat here to tnke off hedgea against
Consuming countries of Europe ars not
using ss many oats from other countries
they were last year. Exports from Bus*
uit 1 to September 29 were
ported 2,200,000, or

Algeria and Tunis exported 1,320,000
ushels, or 786,000 bushels more than last
