The Home Mission Society of the
Methodist church was entertained on
Monday afternoon by Mrs. L. P. Jernl
gan. After the business program de
licious refreshments were served.
The Fnrsonage Aid Society enter
tained their honorary members nnd
husbands delightfully last Friday even
ing at the home of Rev. and Mrs. J. T.
Robins, oysters and a salad course
were served during the evening.
Little Miss Mary Alice Robins enter
tained 25 of her little friends Tuesday
afternoon In honor of her ninth birth
day. The game "Buster Brown" was
played, Annie Wakefield winning the
prize. Delightful refreshments were
served.
One of the most delightful affairs
ever given In Greensboro was the Dom
ino party at the handsome home of Mr.
and Mrs. L. P. Jernlgan on Friday
evening, when the young lady members
of the club entertained their gentlemen
friends. The home was beautifully
decorated with roses nnd ferns. The
tables for the games were arranged In
the hall and parlors. The score cards
were hand-painted dominos. Miss Mary
t'opelan won the girl's prise, a pair of
red bed room slippers, and Dr. E. G.
Adams won the men’s prise, a hand
some silk muffler. During the game
punch was served by Mr. Garnet Evans
and Miss Lucy Jernlgan. A satad
course, hot chocolate and cakes were
served at the conclusion of the game.
The hostess of the evening, Mrs.
Jernlgan, was presented with a beau
tiful Dutch loving cup.
